Privacy Policy
Last updated 9 August 2026
ReGarb lets you see a haircut, an outfit, or a style on your own photo before you commit to it. That only works if you give us your picture, so this page says plainly what happens to it.
Short version: your photos are private to your account, they are sent to the AI companies that do the rendering, they are never sold or used for advertising, and you can delete everything yourself at any time.
Who we are
ReGarb is an independent app. For any question about this policy or your data, write to alhaeeti@gmail.com.
What we collect
Because you give it to us
- Your email address: to create your account and sign you in. If you use Google sign-in, Google tells us your email address and basic profile details.
- A display name: taken from your email by default, and yours to change.
- Photos you upload: pictures of yourself, and pictures of clothes you want to try on.
- What you ask for: the hairstyle or garment you describe in your own words.
- Style profile answers: if you use the AI Stylist: height, weight, how you describe your gender, the occasion, your notes, and your shopping region.
Because the app creates it
- The images the AI generates from your photos, and the looks you choose to save.
- Your credit history: what you spent a credit on and when, so the balance can be explained and refunded when a render fails.
Because a web server keeps records
- Ordinary server logs from our hosting provider: IP address, time of request, error messages. These exist so the service can be kept running and abuse can be stopped.
What we do not collect
This is worth stating precisely, because most apps cannot say it:
- No advertising identifiers and no ad networks.
- No analytics or tracking SDKs. The app ships with three code dependencies and none of them watch you.
- No location tracking. The shopping region you may pick is a preference you set yourself, not your position.
- No contacts, no microphone, no camera roll scanning. We receive only the individual photo you choose to upload.
- We never sell your data, and we never share it for anyone else's advertising.
Who else handles your photos
ReGarb does not run the AI models itself. To turn your photo into a new look, your photo is sent to the company that does. Each one processes it to answer that single request:
| Company | What it receives | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Your email, photos, generated images, account data | Our database, sign-in, and private file storage |
| Netlify | Requests to the app, server logs | Hosting |
| LightX | Your photo | Renders the “Natural” engine |
| OpenRouter, which passes it to Google | Your photo and your request | Renders the “Everyday” and “Detailed” engines (Google Gemini) |
| Anthropic | Your photo and your style profile answers | The AI Stylist looks at your photo to give advice about colour and fit |
These companies are based in various countries, mainly the United States, so using ReGarb means your photo is processed outside your own country. Each has its own privacy terms, and we pass them only what a request needs.
How long anything is kept
Your photos, generated images, and saved looks stay until you remove them, either one at a time inside the app, or all at once by deleting your account. There is no automatic expiry, because a look you made in March should still be there in December.
Server logs roll off on our hosting provider's ordinary schedule.
Deleting everything
You can delete your account and all of its data yourself.
In the app: Profile → Delete my account. It removes your photos, your generated images, your saved looks, your style profile, and your account, permanently. Unused credits are lost with it.
Already uninstalled the app? Use the deletion request page instead.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to how it is handled. Deletion is built into the app; for anything else, email alhaeeti@gmail.com and we will answer within 30 days.
Children
ReGarb is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will delete it.
Security
Your photos live in private storage that is scoped to your account, so another signed-in user cannot reach them. Traffic is encrypted in transit. No system is perfect, and we will not pretend otherwise; if a breach ever affects your data, we will tell you.
Payments
When paid plans launch, purchases will be handled by the app store you bought through (Google Play or Apple). We never see or store your card details. We are told only that a purchase succeeded, so we can add your credits.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
